Fieldhouse Community Alliance Business Spotlight: Common Ground

Creating Stability, Independence, and a Place to Belong
A home is more than four walls and a roof. It can provide security, dignity, stability, and the opportunity to begin again. That belief is at the heart of Common Ground Housing Solutions.
Serving the Cleveland, Ohio area, Common Ground provides affordable shared housing for adults who may face barriers to traditional housing, including veterans, seniors, individuals experiencing homelessness, people in recovery, survivors of domestic violence, and others transitioning into a new chapter of their lives.

More Than a Place to Sleep
Common Ground was created after recognizing how many people struggle to find housing they can realistically afford or qualify for.
The organization developed a shared independent-living model designed to provide residents with stability while allowing them to maintain their independence.
The goal isn't simply to provide a bed—it's to create a safe, structured environment where people can rebuild confidence, establish routines, and move forward.
Common Ground also works to create a family-like atmosphere. Support can extend to everyday challenges such as finding employment, obtaining food assistance, arranging transportation, or simply having someone willing to listen.
Making Housing More Accessible
Common Ground's housing includes fully furnished rooms, utilities, WiFi, and modern amenities. Residents benefit from structured routines, 24-hour security, flexible payment options, and no security deposit.
There is no credit check, second-chance background consideration is available, and qualified residents may be able to move in within 24–48 hours.
Common Ground maintains drug- and alcohol-free housing, helping create a structured environment for residents working toward stability and independence.

Everyone Deserves a Fresh Start
At its core, Common Ground Housing Solutions was founded on a simple belief:
Everyone deserves an opportunity for a fresh start.
For people who have struggled to find that opportunity through traditional housing,
Common Ground is working to provide another path—one built around affordability, accountability, compassion, and community.
Who Common Ground Wants to Meet
Common Ground is looking to connect with veterans, seniors, adults experiencing homelessness, and people in transition who need affordable independent-living options in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
It's also an important organization for community groups, social-service professionals, veterans' organizations, recovery resources, and others to know about. Sometimes helping someone move forward begins simply by connecting them with the right resource at the right time.
Common Ground — providing more than housing. Providing a place to rebuild.
